92 has standard sls. easy to crank down to lower ride height... not easy or inexpensive to fix.

the one you are looking at may or may not still have it.

I'm assuming my 91 535i (manufactured, IIRC, 12/90) -- doesn't have SLS.

The hoses and reservoir seem to be of the non-SLS variety. (I'm replacing my these parts).

Just curious: anyone know when SLS for the 5 series began?

That's incorrect. The 92 e34 520i was the first vehicle line with the single VANOS m50 engine. 525i did not have it.
