    I'm assuming my 91 535i (manufactured, IIRC, 12/90) -- doesn't have SLS.

    The hoses and reservoir seem to be of the non-SLS variety. (I'm replacing my these parts).

    Just curious: anyone know when SLS for the 5 series began?

    That's incorrect. The 92 e34 520i was the first vehicle line with the single VANOS m50 engine. 525i did not have it.
