After reading through numerous old posts in here, i think i may have made a mistake. Arriving at my house tommorrow will be my new Bilstein sport shocks w/ H&R sport springs. Now i'm convinced that i made the wrong decision.
I'm not looking to spend the money on coilovers, period. What i am looking for is to increase my car's handling and to lower it...but not to the point that it would be uncomfortable as a daily-driver. I might be leaning towards the Koni and Eibach route...but right now i .
The ride height on my '99 M3 is perfect in the rear, but in the front i can get about 3 fingers in between the wheelwell and the top of the tire....i f*ckin hate that.
i am so confused right now that i'm sick ... can somebody give me some input...P L E A S E!!!
Some people say that Eibach springs are more suited to the Bilsteins...I'm running the Bilsteins with H&R Sports and don't have a problem with this setup.
Depending on which rear H&Rs you get (29910s vs 29936s) your rear may stay about the same or drop about one inch...if you don't like the drop you can stack a 10mm spring pad on the original to bring it up a little (see procedure at www.apexcone.com ).

rorrick, if you decide to go the Koni/Eibach route, let me know if you would be willing to sell your H&R Sport springs.

I have the same setup. There was a little drop for front and rear. Ride is great and I have had no problems at all.

Well it is all very subjective. The bilsteins are very stiff. In my friends 97 M3 it was just thwack thwack thwack all day long on the bad roads we have down here. So I got the konis SA and will never turn back. Its almost more supple than stock (set up full soft) with more control.
Here's the drop with 29936HA H&R sports.
