Todd: Nice run in the big iron! With drag radials you would expect a better 60' time than 2.4s. With that 60'er down to 1.8x your ETs would be awesome ... and you'd be knocking on 12s big time.

Feen, please watch the language in the Main Forums, :

Nice run, man. Like Kenny said, with a better 60' your ET's would be close to 12's.

How are you launching it now? At what rpm before wheelspin occurs, etc?

    Dave,
I tried launching at both 2500rpm and 3000rpm and the car spins through all of 1st and half of 2nd. The car just makes huge torque. Most of my problem is in the rear subframe. The car wheel hopped badly and the subframe was bouncing all over the place. This week it gets new urethane subframe bushings. I am also reistalling the 2.93 gear as it is obvious that I do not need the the additional torque of the 3.25. The 2.93 also gives me 110mph in 3rd gear and will eliminate 1 shift. I am going back to the track on the 18th.

Dave, want to come up and run the coupe? It's a Saturday test and tune at Lebanon Valley, NY.

Is the 2.93 (or the 3.25 for that matter) a limited slip diff, or are they both open? If they are open, that's a huge part of the traction problem right there.

Eliminating 1 shift is not a bad idea. But if the 2.93 and 3.25 are both open diffs, think about investing in a nice LSD, maybe from Quaife, and then calculate and choose your ratio, like maybe a 3.07 will allow for you to end your run in 3rd gear with those traps, etc...

    Stickier tires never hurt, either.

Where is Lebanon Valley in NY, and which Saturday?

It's about 2hrs straight north of Manhattan. 28 miles east/southest of Albany near the Mass border.

Holy post resurrection. It's only 5 years old now.

For the rear subframe use stock bushings and fill them with 80 durometer polyurethane. There are procedures online. Try http://www.mye28.com.
