    For Sale: E30 Radio headunit

I have a perfectly working E30 headunit. It came out of my '91 IX when I swapped it out for an aftermarket unit. It worked perfectly when it was in, and it has been sitting in my closet since March. All the wires are still attached and all the labels, lights, and buttons are in great shape.

I'm not totally sure what you're asking for. Are you asking for the numbers on the back of the unit?

Where would the security code be located? The only printed numbers I see on the radio is on the back.

When you power the radio it will need a security code. It's an anti-theft feature to thawrt cassette player pirates. They don't print in on the radio. Although you Might still have a little user manual shaped card that has the security code printed on it with the original user manual.

Or can usually get it by going to your local dealership with the VIN # and proof of ownership of the vehicle although I did manage to get mine over the phone once too.

OK thanks, that makes sense. I'm looking through my owners manual right now, and I don't think I have the card that has the security code on it. I'll check my glovebox tomorrow and if I can't find it, I'll either call or go to my local dealership.

I have the code in hand, and will provide that along with the radio manual to the person who buys it.
