Better pic. One more edit left actually
That's a heck of a lot of work for some gauges, but I bet it turns out great.
My auxiliary gauge "pod" only took a couple hours including routing wires and plumbing.
Added voltage and oil temp to Z3 Coupe, boost and oil pressure to M (M is coming out of hibernation soon so will grab a photo of that).

The pod is from Rally Road, $94.95. It attaches directly to the steering column trim and looks factory IMO. Yeah, I just tossed in the bulbs I used in center console (had a 10 pack from Amazon). They are rather bright. I may step down a touch. I tapped the headlight dimmer wire so they do dim with the knob.

Everything is run though a fuse block made by...Fuzeblocks (for motorcycles)...tapped constant power at battery terminal under hood and switched power in fuse box in front of secondary air pump and ran wires through firewall grommet. The fuse block I got lets you decide switched or unswitched power based on how you insert the fuses. Cool stuff and the block is TINY...tucked it behind the glove box.

Gauges are OEM M gauges (had some spares so why not?).
I used a Bimmerworld oil distrubution block at the stock oil pressure sensor location:

Oil temp sender was from a VW I think, but any VDO sender that matches the gauge range should work. The VW one I found was really short and looked like a better fit.

Think I have this one laying around somewhere too:

No heating and pushing down the air ducting is required as well.
Ok, finish it up and let's see the final product!
One more exit to hood left
Are you taking these pics lying down? Or have I drunk too much again..... Drunken pods?
