    boost creep WTF!

    this is really strange.. after months of tweeking and almost a year of stable boost.. The car is now spiking any where from 8 to 10 psi? whay would this start happening..

    I dont have a boost controller installed

    The only thing I did is pull my gauge console to replace a blown light...

    wastegate spring could be going. Do you have the delta wastegate, tial 35 mm, or HKS one?

    Also check the hose to the wastegate for holes.....

    I have an internal waste gate
    its an AA stage 1 gen 2

    Maybe its the springs that hold the wastegate what you can do is remove the exhaust housing and port out the hole for the internal wastegate so that it will hold boost better.

    Did you recently change your exhaust more free flowing like remove cats or resonator if you did then that is the cause.

    No - No changes.. it just started doing this.. I have not touched the spring or made any adjustments.. Im wondering if something is broken

    Check under the turbo there are two springs if I was not mistaken.

    Maybe they are weak maybe you can contact Karl about buying replacements.

    When you say spiking does it stay at 8 to 10psi or just go there for a sec and then come back down?

    Maybe when you changed a bulb a vaccumm hose is being kinked ?

    hmm I check that.. but its unlikely kinked..

    I wonder before if you hose was kinked and was showing less boost and now since you move around the gauge it is now showing the correct boost.

    Does the car drive any different pulling harder or the same if its the same maybe thats the boost you were running before ? but showing less.
