    Timing Chain?

    I got 101700+ miles on my 1995 318 and was wondering when ur supposed to replace that timing chain, if anybody knows.

    Supposedly it will last the life of the engine. That is supposed to be about 200k. If you dont spend alot of time above 5k, you will probably be just fine. Or if you have a week to fool around with the engine, go ahead and rebuild it.
    Personally I would wait until about 150k. That will give you plenty of time to acquire the parts at less of a shock to your wallet.
