Hey guys!!
I just wanted to let you know that I just got this from Will and got permission to post it up. I am sorry I don't have any answers about the software but might be able to get Doug or someone from TMS to answer questions for ya. Oh, I don't have any affiliation with TMS (don't get money from them) just have a friend with the car so Will sent it to me. Thought that you guys might like the info too
Brad

Conforti's comment on the upgrade : "This software seriously changes the character of the MZ3/M Coupe for the better. It was calibrated over a LONG period on my personal vehicle"
Im looking foreward to putting a stop to your pulling on me Brad, a couple more HP should do it.
Will Conforti make available software optimized for the big cams? that would seal the deal.
personally, i'd wait a bit and see what happens to the S54s when the rev limiter increaed and speed limiter are removed.....
i'm not so sure $350 for 12.9 hp at the cost of engine blowout is worth it........
i might as well buy the gruppe-M CAI and spend another $1500 for 5 hp.....
and if the dyno results are so accurate for the E46M3s, why are they slower than the M roadster or coupe (with stock diff)?? (despite better transmission ratios, etc...)?????
i'm not so sure i want to pick up my E46M3 that's on order...
Does anyone know if this will work with an M3 thats gotten the DME updated for the "Cold Start Problem"?
Thanks,
KJ
Umm, I have seen plenty of dyno plots for S54 M coupes, and NONE have been that low.Stock: 253.2 rear wheel Horsepower, 223.1 rear wheel Torque
Sounds like vaporware to me ....
Anybody getting one?

2001 M Roadster
2001 E39 M5
The low figures may be due to testing at altitude in CO. Thin air up there.
If my software is OK with it, I'll buy it. I have 2 concerns:Originally posted by T-Town ///M3

1- My car is euro-spec, and
2- all I can get in Turkey is super unleaded which should be equal to 91 US octane.

i was wondering if this shark injector is any better or different then the dinan computer software uprgrade(no speed limiter/increased rev limit) -thats what i have now so i change it?
Warranty?
The Dinan computer doesn't add ANY horsepower at all. All it does it remap the throttle for better throttle response.Originally posted by m34u2nv

Anyway, the Shark Injector does everything the Dinan Chip does as well as add 6 Peak HP.
It seems far from conclusive that the Sharking does in fact add horsepower. This is not surprising, given the fact that the S52 sharking never amounted to as much horsepower (if any in some cases) as claimed. Is it dishonest advertising? I guess that's up to each of us to decide.Anyway, the Shark Injector does everything the Dinan Chip does as well as add 6 Peak HP.
For my money, the free sport mode mod (for the E36/7/8's) and some under drive pulleys seems like a superior way to make guaranteed horsepower.
Actually, my readings were that low on both Dynojet and Mustang. 253ish from Mustang and 255ish from Dynoject. Dynoject reading was done during hot May 2002 and Mustang reading was done during Sept 2002.Originally posted by c steve

I was replying to M34U2NV.
His name implies he has an M3. The Dinan ecu doesn't add any HP to the M3. Furthermore, this is the E46 M3 board, not the M Roadster board.
So although, you may be 100% correct in saying the Dinan ECU adds HP to the M-Roadster, it has nothing to do with what I wrote to M34U2NV, so why quote what I said and reply to it?
Peace,
KJ
will give initial impressions when I get it.
MCJ,
Are you planning on Dynoing the car?
Jeff
Those are legitimate dyno numbers. I wonder what gear the dyno was recorded at??
Can someone from TMS provide an answer?
