The dash piece under my steering wheel sags and I don't know why.

A gap next to the door from sagging...

This metal bracket holds up the right side... is there meant to one on the left as well? I can't see where it would connect...

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

They're not really made of anything heavy duty. Neither are the mounting holes. Mine have simple just worn out in spots. Replace it with a good one (unless the mounting points are F'ed, then you have a bigger problem).

to answer your question, I don't think there are two metal brackets, but I'm not totally sure. I still think your problem is more up front that by the pedals.

It should slip in to plastic tracks at the far front of the compartment. Feed it in like teeth coming together and it will stay.

If you mean the little lip on the left side (kind of in the first picture), it doesn't do a thing for me.

What he said. You have to remove the panel to see it, but once you do you won't miss it. It's just to the left of the bracket that's holding it in in your second pic.
