"NICB's VINCheckSM is a service provided to the public to assist in determining if a vehicle has been reported as stolen, but not recovered, or has been reported as a previously declared total loss vehicle by cooperating NICB members." etc...

    Cool.

Ran my VIN and it looks clean. After a brief search in the parking lot for my car, this proves to be true.

free yes, but they dont give no where near as much info as carfax. Still neat though. Is a fast and easy way to see if it was ever a reclaimed vehicle

    Although carfax's reliability is questionable...

Hmm...ran mine and it came back as a total loss on 2003-05-16 from a collision. Where can I go to get details of what happened? It doesn't have a salvage title but it does have a 'reposessed' title. Anyone else ran into this?

This would explain the driver's window not sealing at top mod.

its funny though. it doesnt list your car as a real m3. It shows a 325is chassis. Maybe you bought a m3 clone?

Yeah, it showed an accident on that date, but not a total loss. -1 for Carfax's reliability.

No, that is caused by the PO who doesn't know how to put a window back correctly after changing out the regulator.

It's not leaking, it just says Check Coolant Level. Common problem from what I can tell. My coolant level is fine. It's just extremely annoying.

That was caused by what looks to be a $500 paint job after the car was fixed. The PO just didn't give a damn about this car from what I can tell. They didn't even sand everything down when it was painted.
