The car doesn't run correctly and is NOT considered a reliable DD.

Hehehehe... you know, folks generally don't respond well to someone who joins and makes one or two posts just to sell a car. I'm not disparaging you for that, it's just what it is -- an unknown. Also, while folks are known to drive hundreds of miles to get a good deal (which this car appears to be), they have to be able to drive it back hundreds of miles. It's got a great price, but the running problems and messed-up installation are scaring folks off.

Great that you noticed all of that, I'm just trying to get rid of the car.
I joined the forum when I started fixing it up, later deciding to sell it as I can't do anything with it, and no mechanic will diagnose the problem accurately.

You sound like you expect every car to be driveable. Trailers were made for a reason.
It is what it is, nobody is trying to hide that. Messed up installation? Are you referring to the parts that are now stolen off the car by my 'friend' the mechanic?

I wasn't asking for everyone to jump at the sight of the car. I was only stating that the site seems to have low traffic.

I know maybe you haven't met me, maybe the 'community' on mye28 hasn't (except Josh), that doesn't mean that I'm not known, nor that I do not have an actual product to sell.

This is a great shell and I'm sure someone would like it to put an engine in.
I have no time, nor the place to do such thing.

You have to consider, though, that a not-well-known person selling a hardly-running car will not get a fabulous response. Again, that's not disparaging -- just the way it is.

Yeah, roll your eyes at the "low traffic," but I'm sure you understand that a single-model site is always going to have less traffic than a catch-all site like this one. The traffic there is EXPONENTIALLY above the E28-section traffic here (look at how the E28 threads here flow like molasses down the page). I'm sure if there were an E32-only site, it would be even less-visited than an E28-only site.

Again you'll note I wasn't asking for a huge flow of interest, and yes I am used to the bfc mass popularity. Is there anything else you'd like to add?

To anybody interested, I drove this car last fall. Unlike a good number of E28s, the suspension seems dead on and the car is tight and handles well (better than my Euro 535i did).

It's definitely a great deal.
