    2 part question please.

    I. I had my car keyed, whats the best/easiest way to take care of that. what products should I buy to remove. Its not through the clear mind you.

II. I had a bag fly up on my hood, it had white paint on it and now there a little paint on my car thats dried. Can you tell me how you'd remove it?

    Thanks much man!

PS: I'm a n00b when it comes to car paint/repair so type slow please

Without seeing pictures sounds like a good buffing with remove the marks if they are as shallow as you say. As for the paint, depending on the size of the mark, either clay or a polish could remove it.

Hi, I just ordered your PC 7424 + Poorboy's kit. I have a resprayed Cosmos 328is and although the paint and clear are good quality (PPG), the body shop did a poor job of polishing it before I picked it up. Now there are lots of swirls that I need to get rid of -- will the products I bought from you take care of this? I see a lot of forum members using Menzerna and I wonder if I should change my order before it's sent...

BTW the car is dirty in these photos.

That's funny I just saw your order in the warehouse.... I would suggest you call in to one of our techs... you might be better off with Menzerna depending on the issues you are dealing with.

The white or light grey color of the scratches appears to be primer as if the key scratches are through the clear and color coats.

If you can catch your finger nail in these scratches, they may be deep to the point where machine polishing may reduce their appearance, but not completely remove them. The only way to find this out is to give it a try.

I would suggest starting with a Flex XC3401 VRG polisher, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish and Orange Lake Country CCS pad, followed by the Nano Polish and a white CCS pad then inspect the area.

paint is good but black is a pain to keep swirl free

is there a way to polish by hand to get it looking good or is an orbital needed

Honda is known for softer paints, easy to get swirls and also easy to polish out. You can reduce the appearance of swirls if polishing by hand and possibly remove them too. For the best finish possible, polish with a Porter Cable 7424 or a Flex XC3401 VRG. Machine polishing with the correct polisher will always give you the best results possible.

Hands down the Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil and Prestine Clean.

    Expensive, but WELL worth it

You are looking at taking a polisher to it, not much you can do by hand. Only product I would even think would touch it by hand is Meguiars ScratchX.

Sounds like just a strong cleaner then, that would not do a thing for the etching, would just remove the bugs if still on the car?!?!?
You need to a buffer and some polish to fix that.

Prep Solve will just strip wax and prep the surface for polishing/waxing, but will not remove any defects.

#105 will work quite well by hand, just be sure to work it in thoroughly. It's a ton of work. If you have the money, definitely pick up a polisher (PC 7424) as Meghan suggested.

Well you can look at it a couple ways, one be happy with what you have done till spring and then pick up a polisher and make it right. OR you can get the 105 and see if it makes a difference or not, might help just not sure how much doing it by hand. Good thing is the polish wont go bad so you will have it for spring time to use with the polisher.

    AutoGeek! You own my soul!

    Now answer my question!
I was cleaning up my car and was getting ready to take a layer of wax off of it, went to pick up a new microfiber, but when I lifted on the top cloth, two others fell out of the box that they were in.
So, my question: What do I do about microfibers that have landed(and are covered) in mulch? Is there a special comb that I can buy to get the mulch out of all of the microfiber strands and make it like new again, or am I screwed?
Honestly, this seems to be happening more and more, so I just thought I'd ask on the off-chance that you guys sell something that I overlooked or missed, or if there was some common advice out there that I never got.

    Thanks!
