Yes, the plug they make connects to the motors wiring harnes then to the car's fuse box and everything works. Plug-N-Play!

    Yes please
not a lot of action on the s50xxxxx threads lately. I have tried to contact Alex, the one all of you keep talking about to source a motor, but I haven't had any luck. I have tried email and PM. Does anyone have any information on where I can get a s50b32 or 30? I'd also like to speak with someone who isn't biased about which one should go in the car, how much they go for in 2013 and the pros and cons of both. Thanks.

With the S54s being cheaper and more powerful the Euros just don't have the demand anymore. Go S54.
It's not speed that kills, it's the speed difference that does. Obviously you aren't going fast enough.

Why you need that useless pain in the butt, when you can spend same money just to buy m3 e46?
Can't see any logical conclusion. If I lived in states id never do this swap.

Just wondering are the valve shims on the euro motor the same as the s54?

No, they are similar to the S14/S38 but are usually thinner. Diameter wise- the S54 ones are small. S50B32 are about the size of a quater, the S54 are smaller than a dime

A total budget of $11 - 15k for the swap is realistic depending on how you do it.

    Good luck,

Are you saying 11-15k for the engine and the swap or just the swap alone?
