today, im going to take apart the gauge cluster in hopes of finding out why my fuel gauge does not work. im also going to adjust my e-brake and put the OBC, radio, climate control back together.
Then wash my car and maybe take pictures as i am new to the board. w00t
My E30 is running all over NC with my friend who is here from Germany. She comes with her husband and kids every summer, and I always loan her the car. She loves it!
Today I put on some ltw Motorsport flags on my track car!
"I never realized how fast a slow car can be until I went to the track."

Today I just stared at it and put some new stereo equipment n the trunk. Tomorrow I'll have my registration taken care of and I'll actually be able to drive it. First experience with a BMW of any kind. Here's hoping for the best.

NEVER SELL YOUR BMW
I loved my E30 today... then I found out it needs a new rear main seal
Coat of wax for the exterior and leather conditioner for the interior; this is after seeing a similar year vert with a bad case of of rust and seats that looked like a bomb had gone off in the car. Am I glad my car was originaly from California and not New England with our liberal use of salt in the winter.

Now that my daughter will be driving the bronzit after this weekend, I finally got some time in my car. I took her to the rent-a-spray and cleaned up the engine. Took a pic.
Got her a newer set of tires and she'll be getting an oil change/spark plugs this weekend. I have to replace a couple rocker adjusting cams as well. Hopefully after that work, I'll take her out and try to set a top speed in a controlled environment. I have a 4.10 to replace the 2.79 so I want to set a top speed before I limit her with the taller gearing. Acceleration should be a fun increase. Not entirely sure I to take the bite in the mpg though, especially at these prices.
That engine looks absolutely amazing.
bought the e30 a friend
Straightened a fog light and chose to drive an under-powered, economy-model, 22 year old BMW to work over a 4 year old VW with 200hp. Life's weird sometimes.
Prepped the track car for this upcoming weekend at VIR. New front rotors, bled the brakes, flushed coolant, changed the oil, adjusted valves(3 times don't ask), fixed a small vacuum leak, Drove it around terrorizing the neighborhood.
got it out of the pen!(impound $250)
Ditto! Except mine's only 17 years old, and isn't the economy model. It gets worse mileage (27 for the E30, 32 for the 2004 Jetta 1.8t wagon), but it takes regular, regular oil changes, cheaper maintenance items, etc.
On-topic: put the E30 in the back of the garage for a couple days. Drove the Jetta on some errands. Note to self: get SSK for the E30.

Mein anderes Auto ist auch deutsch.
I drove my E30 to the bank, then backed it into my driveway so it was facing downward on a hill..so it would stop leaking oil... i'll be getting that fixed next.
Used it to embarrass a riced Mustang…twice. Some people never learn. Tired 5 liter v8 + mean bimmer = blue oval fail.
Drove it to work for the first time in 3 months
Diving Board Supporter - Show Off That Bling!
Drove it 100 miles to an DAS auto shipper, south of Harrisburgh, PA. Will pick it up in Tucson, Arizona. Me worried? Well, yes...
Finally got the tie rods in the mail, so I put those on and now the suspension upgrade is essentially finished.
I can finally drive the car again.
