Shaking my fist cursing at it.
just got it back from the full repaint... started cleaning all the left over polish from the mouldings etc.
Drove it to work with a big smile on my face!

Did more contemplating about the mystery knock in the back of the daily driver.
It's not the parcel shelf or any of the tools/ spare tyre I'm pulling interior panels next!
1991 Cabrio E30CCA
15% tint on the sides 5% on the rear
Cant wait to pick it up!
More of the same: Replaced valve cover gasket, cleaned top of valve cover off (oil, dust, and some 16-year-old cosmoline). Changed spark plugs...old plugs were overall good, but #3 had oil blowing past the crush washer, so it hadn't been torqued correctly. Electrodes were good, though.
Made sure the tires were correctly filled. And retorqued the bolts.
Took her for a spin. A long one.

Took down the driveshaft and exhaust to change out the output shaft seal and the shift seal, but my socket didn't work... BUT I ordered the right part today. Oh yeah, CD player keep skipping and destroyed my favorite The Police CD, so......
I lined up my flathead screwdriver and drove it through the cd player with my biggest hammer.
My new CD player works awesome.
i stripped it and prepped it for tow.
Drove to work, top down. Only really notable because after replacing the spark plugs and rotating the tires, it's *so* much smoother. I don't know which of those is responsible, but today was a day I have to say I love my E30.
I haven't driven my Jetta wagon in at least two weeks now.

she is currently sitting in the garage since my rack took a shit on me, but I bought an LSD for it yesterday, I have an e36 rack on the way, new oil pan gasket and PS reservoir sitting at home along with new rotors, pads, and wires all the way around. All of this is waiting to go in this weekend (well, except for the LSD. Probably going to reseal it before putting it in).
Next up will be timing belt when she finally turns 200K and I get another paycheck or two (currently at a little over 199K) .

Well, TODAY I drove it to work. Last night I washed it for the first time in 2 months lol. Vacuuming also occurred. The car will be seeing some changes in the very near future though. 13 button OBC, reaplcing door seals and a messed up A-piller trim piece, Euro bumper trim, new side trim, electric sun roof, cruise control (big project w/ write-up), and the installation of the full over-head check panel*.
*Tricky. Very tricky. Never been done AFAIK. Patience, good note-taking & pictures and relatively non-invasive splicing will take care of it.
thanks for the heads up, but I have been doing extensive reading on the topic and I have to do some knuckle modification. After all, I have the best year for e30s 1989 was just in time for the plastic bumpers, and just early enough to miss the airbags. Now lets hope I can get this in without too many problems. I have been waiting on parts for 2 weeks

Having the rear quarters sprayed PO rolled the fenders and the paint cracked, installing new Corbeau targas, new 330 ZHP shift knob and getting it inspected.
drove to work...hit that wonderful 100mph speed for a sec or 3, and I picked up my custom motor mounts for my m30 swap...tommorow i pick up the flywheel for my swap and then its off to lightened by 5-7 lbs
Went to a drive-in movie and my battery died. On the plus I saw an Isetta as I sat at the side of the road...
I vacuumed the interior, and I cleaned my basketweaves.
Ordered some parts: leather boot, msport knob, new e-break fitting. Broke the faceplate to my CD player too, so I've got some awesome orange masking tape holding it on!
Speed bleeder, Stainless Steel brake hoses, Catch can, and maybe a car wash to top it all off.
