Starting a project on this 91' 325i, going to restore and rebuild from shell up. Started stripping her down.

Replaced two broken antenna masts on two Hirschmann Auta 6000 EL electric antennas, both requiring disassembly to remove broken pieces of the nylon toothed cable from the cable storage area.

put a new battery in my iX today, bought the 91 vs the 90.
also put a deposit down on some new wheels/tires for summer, as its right around the corner and the studded snows have to come off by april by law.

HVAC panel.JPGFigured out how to re-secure the stereo head unit on my 91. There is a break at the arrow in the HVAC panel. Pulled out the hazard flasher, and that gave me enough room to lift the cracked piece, get the stereo bracket all the way in, lower and realign the cracked piece, and finally reinstall the flasher.

Capital Driving Club Car # 102
How to turbo your car:
Step one. Install ecu and learn to tune and or have it tuned.
Step two. Install injectors and retune.
Step three. Install turbo parts and bits. get it running with out leaks. DO NOT DRIVE IT. Idling should be ok
Step four. Retune car
Step five enjoy
Euro grills. And bought another e30.
If your e30 runs bad, switch to Megasquirt first. Then try new spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, oxygen sensor, crank shaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, air flow meter, idle control valve, throttle position sensor, digital motor electronics unit, harmonic balancer, fuel injectors, engine harness...
Painted my tail light corners amber to match! Used 3 coats on the corners and 1 coat of red on the whole thing (minus reverse light). Then two coats of clear coat. Looking pretty snazzy. Will install tomorrow.
Drove the beasty to work today.Working on touching up some of the road rash on the car. Called several pin stripe guys as I want to do subtle ///Motorsports strips down the side. Got the LED bulbs in. DANG what a difference! 0221171403.jpg

Went to try to get the old girl started after sittin for 10 years. She needed a new battery and some fresh gas.
My brother was driving on the way to school and we locked up. No abs and 15 year old tires. It can be fixed but sad

Ouch indeed... but seriously, 15 year old tires??? You really shouldn't be driving them past ten years. You're lucky it wasn't worse.

Pulled seats and carpet doin a deep clean.
Replaced the front outer weather strips, originals were long overdue! Cheap and easy to do without even removing the moldings. And it looks much better.

Installed a Husco armrest in my 90 vert. This came in a parts car I bought for the plastic bumpers. I had the pad recovered and I repainted the metal pieces. This really make driving a lot more comfortable. I will definitely be installing one in my 89 ix eventually.
love me a husco ! thought mine was broken until i discovered the wire was so covered in crap and sticky that it was stuck on the underside lol. cleaned it up and it was great.
put my spare diff parts together today into an open 4.10. mostly to get them out of the way. darn thing wound up in spec, and now i dunno what to do with it lol.
Completed the blower motor and resistor replacement on the 91 318i. Somehow I dislodged the male spade ground terminal when I installed the black plastic cover the first attempt -- didn't make that mistake this time.

Broke 2 bleeder valves flush onto the caliper yesterday and today I used a torch and got them out so I don't have to buy new ones! and there was one wheel lock lug and i used a bigger socket and put two pins in there and got the lug out. Also found why my tach wasn't working. great day
Sure, I actually ordered rear ones by mistake due to the wrong description on the ECS tuning website, these are indeed the rear ones:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/51361933751/
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/51361933752/
Part numbers for the front ones are:
51321924753
51321924754
And for some reason they call the front ones "Coverings" not weather strips.
Diagrams are confusing since both look like front doors, (I found out the hard way)
But this shows the front inner and outer weather strips:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=41_0949
This is for the rear:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...95#51361933751
Hope this helps.

Technically this was a few weeks ago. But I drove it! And then I broke it. I had to replace the tank and fuel pump. And now I'm bogged down in a mire of while-you're-in-theres.

The Husco armrests come up every so often on EBay as well as on the forums. They are not usually cheap for what they are but, not many out there so I guess that drives up the price. It's pretty cheap money to have the foam replaced and recovered so, if you find one in rough condition don't immediately discount it.
