My work notified us today that the NICB released what seems to be a fairly simple website that will run a VIN# to confirm if a vehicle has total loss or theft history in relation to an insurance claim. It is very undetailed as to the info provided (pretty much yes or no) but hopefully it helps in seeing if salvage history is being withheld without needing to buy carfax to find out.

Would be nice if more companies did full reporting to the main database as fraud is skyrocketing lately.
