    E46 M3 Control Arm Bushing R&R Procedure

Need to replace these this weekend. Looks reasonably simple so there must be a trick to it...

Anyone btdt and have a quick writeup?

    Thx.

Well, now I've btdt. It is easy as long as you have a 3 jaw puller and some patience while using it. Oh, an impact wrench is a plus as there are about eleventy billion bolts holding the big metal plate on the M3...

In short, remove big metal plate, remove bolts to control arm bushings, use 3 jaw puller to sloooooowly pull bushing off (go slowly otherwise puller jumps off to the side and you have to start over...), put on new bushings (I went aftermarket and it slid on w/hand pressure), rebolt everything. Elapsed time: 1hr. Easy.
