hey guys, I just got my M3 back and I was road testing it today and I noticed that on hard redline shifts my car would lift a little on the right front (or dip a little on the left rear, if that helps you visualize better). I don't recall this ever happening before, but then again, I haven't driven my M3 in almost 3 months.
What could be the cause of this? Is it worn out or broken shocks? Could the impact from the accident (backwards run over curb) blow out my shocks? It seems like when I shift I get a slight lunge in weight forward during the shift, and then the weight shifts back again when I lay down the power on the next shift. I figured if it did that, at least it would lay down the power evenly, not one side more than the other.
BTW, final repair bill = 22k (if you can believe that)
please help
Mine actually squats to the right rear and rubs on hard launches......

Ok, now I'm noticing that it drifts to the left on hard take offs and on subsequent shifts. It requires I steer slightly right to counter this push. What on earth could be causing this? I want to go into the dealer with some idea of what could be causing this. The car is still open on the books for repairs on my insurance. This will be part of warranty on their work since they replaced the back suspension.
On another note, they fully replaced my suspension on 3 corners of my car except the front right. Thats the only corner that still has the original parts. I have new front thrust arms and new rear trailing arms. I even got my RTAB's replaced and floor rewelded.
What do you guys think?

It seems as if something wasn't put back together.
Hear any or feel any clunking?
$22K? Why so much?

no clunking whatsoever. the car was put back together well enough. I don't have creaks or anything. The weirdest thing is the car will lift on the rear right when I'm on an incline and the E-brake is on. This can be simulated if I put your car in reverse and have the E-brake on also. The lift in the rear was more pronounceable the 1st time I got the car back.
It was 22k b/c I brought it to what I thought was the best bodyshop and the dealer to get my car fixed. Now I'm finding that my insurance is probably getting ripped off (so am I). This is probably no more than a 7-8k job but they're ripping the insurance I think.

username, when you take off and it squats right, which mine does slightly, does your car pull in any certain direction? I think one of the shocks are shot/damaged.

the e-brake thing could probably be adjusted with the e-brake cable right? you could check the shocks.. maybe they have uneven wear?
jt- Why would you say the bodyshop is ripping you off.YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT IS WRONG and you are saying the shop is commiting fraud to your insurance. If you had 22k of damage dont you think it is possible that there could be some damage that is undetectable .Maybe that is why the claim is still open.Bodyshops are not God and you should get some facts before tossing around talk of insurance fraud.
Boss,I sure wish you'd quit being so nice to me
