    2000 bmw 740il, 1995 bmw 840ci

    Airbag control module

    Another trip to the dealer cause my srs light came on again. they found a short in the airbag control module. they wanted 850 bucks for the part installed. it was 3 hour labor @ 97bucks an hour plus part. i have a 1995 840 and need to know if i can put a used one on it or the dealer said they might have to be programmed to the specific car and i would have to buy it new, but they were not sure. and is 3 hours rediculous for this? and if anyone knows if part no.8352763 is the right one for the car? thanks for your help.

    Avoid the dealer like the plague! Put it in yourself, and have them program it if need be.. but maybe drop wuffer a line, he is our bmw bible.
