Got an S54 with a CSL airbox and DTA standalone hitting the dyno soon. Should be interesting at the track. Old shrick cams set up S52 did 13.4@104 with a 1.97 or so 60ft on 18" wheels. I would like to go out there on my 17x9's and RE-11's whenever I get time to hook up the harness and get it tuned. A similar set up made 332whp with my header and exhaust I think it'll do high 12's@108-110 at 3300lbs with me and the 4 point roll bar

he can bring it back whenever he wants. the forum keeps records of old edits and allows you to retrieve them at-will. if dave wanted to bring the first post back from the dead, he could easily do so.

a mod could probably do this too, which i'm a little surprised hasn't happened already.

edit: here's an example link of edit history http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...php?p=19254907 (that's for this post i made here - won't work for you because you are not me). go to any post you've made where you have editted it and have the little "Last edited by <insert your username here>; Today at 12:25 PM." thing at the bottom and click on it.

Calvin, I see you quoted the list yet didn't edit it with your own contribution. How come?

Who did the tuning? Looks like some of the AF ratios need adjustments.. for example 2.5-3k a little rich and you get a dip in powerband. same with 3.2-4.4k. 5.2-6.2 could be a little better. 6.5-7.3 need a little attention.

Overall more of a conservative tune but could be better. I am in no way bashing, just my opinion. Good power in the end.

since we can't update the first post, yes, it was necessary. not only that, but your post was formatted horribly because it was just copy/pasted without the forum code properly used

i also added in reference links for threads people made about their runs. if there is a better way to update the list without reproducing it constantly then let's do that.

Technica Tuning did the car, Ed Senf tuned the cams..
We are still working on it, it has only been on the dyno once. However we are keeping it conservative because it's a mafless daily driven car so the tune doesn't really change like 99% of BMW's on this forum that alter with elevation etc. Also the car was on stock (but de-catted exhaust) and a stock E36 cat-back. I think with a 3" and something more aggressive it could get close to 340whp, but then again the car is set up for road course so there's no "asap" need to get it back on the dyno to tune it where the motor isn't spinning at full load almost the entire time. I think road tuning down low will suffice for now..
The DTA is PnP too, so me being out of state can upload a "modified" A/F tune when we get around to it... yess hah

Anyway, I'm gonna get it to the strip but it's just a let down to run a car in Louisiana and even in Georgia during hurricane season. Ya'll have no idea how humid it is down here.. I'd say cars that go 111-114 pull around 107-109 down here. My buddies E92 M3 DCT couldn't get higher than 109 @12.7's at 1200ft at Commerce with the humidity and all, and another buddy of mines stock SS Camaro is only doing 105-107@13.1-13.3. E46's seem to do 102-104 and my own 250whp S52 car only did 103 in the late summer time. We will see, and if it's low i'll drive over a few hrs to Texas where it's dry!

I hope for 12.9's but that might be hard to do with 235's and 3300lbs(with 4pnt bar, back seats, stereo). Weight will go down and traction will go up eventually

I'd say cars that go 111-114 pull around 107-109 down here. the "new" go to setup for the S54 is a full 3.5" exhaust for maximum power if you have the mods to support it
