Installed New Depos HID's annoying "CHECK LOW BEAM"

Well, I installed my new depo headlights with hid's and now everything works, but I get an annoying message about "CHECK LOW BEAM" all the time... except when I turn the lights on, the message disapears for a few minutes, then it beeps at me again...

Did i not do something correctly?

How can I correct this problem?

My car is a 1997 540i, and the lights are DEPO, with DDM Tuning HID Kit...

Did you get the error cancel decoders and are they installed correctly?

did you previously not have hids?

I don't think i got the "Error Cancel Decoders" ... didn't know I needed them...

I bought them from DDM Tuning... I will call them and inquire about the error cancel decoders... thanks!!!

You need a resistor pack wired ahead of your ballast, compensates for the difference in resistance between your H7 lowbeam bulb and the ballast you have installed.

They are 40.00 a set. DDM told me that most of the time they are needed, but not all the time. I needed them and installed them and I have no warning lights now. Hopefully that will fix your problem.

I just called DDM and they're sending a pair to me!!! No charge!!! Excellent Customer Service... So far I'm happy with mu purchases from them... i'm on the waitlist for front & rear bumpers...can't wait to get them...

funny, my Depos always tell me to check high beam. Or was it from the led plate lights great now I can't remember!
