What is the bottom button to the right of headlight switch?

I believe someone said before that it is the rear foglight button for the euro e36? I may be wrong though..

I didn't have a second switch on mine, so i placed on a momentary switch to use it as a garage door opener button.

Hey guys...

here is the button i was talking about. I purchased a momentary push button from Radio Shack. the cost was less than 4 dollars.

I dont know the catalogue number but it's the closest to OEM that i could find.

how did you do that? I want something like that too. Did you go into the garage opener, connected it to the switch and hid the opener somewhere inside the dash...or am I completely off?

You are close. I opened mine and soildered the button wires to the connection and hid it behind the dash

Wow you made me look at the pic more carefully...it is an E36 M3 GT. A pretty desirable car. The carbon fiber is probably stock, kinda like the US lightweight.

You can see the green seats with alcantara on the side cushions (Mexico green?) and 7k redline. I think they were 295 hp. An awesome car. I remembered that ben liaw was talking about importing one here. anyone know of any news on that?
