I would like to buy the wide grill that comes on the newer e34's.

No I don't. On a black car you can hardly tell.

I want to try it, if I like it, good, if I don't, o well.

Hmm, well letting the 'narrow vs. wide grill' debate slide......it will still look off, and especially on black, haha. (the glossy paint highlights creases and body lines)

I forget who it was but he had a BLACK narrow grille car and he had just converted the grill, but not the hood, and it was easy to tell, as I remember. I like the wide grills but if you're going to go for it, try getting a nasty one for cheap from a junkyard E34 and fix up/paint it yourself and then throw it on. In the mean time just keep the stock hood/grill until you're ready to convert it.

edit: besides, your M5 deserves better.

That is the car I was thinking of.
You can barely tell. I've also seen one in person that was a dark colour, couldn;t tell untill he mentioned it.

Like I said, if I like it, I'll keep it, if I don't, then no.

Most people won't notice something like this unless they are a BMW enthusiast or know e34s well enough.

Meh....Do what you want. Not my taste. just don't add a hood scoop. That's definitely over the line
