I doubt you'd even be able to polish the "lip" on bottle caps
Why would you want to highlight the fact that you have small rims? Leave 'em.

because they are so ugly ANYWAYS

go back to the stock color or don't bother. A set of 15" or 16" basket weaves are cheap.

im keeping my bottle caps for the winter, and leaving the others for summer. do the same. if u dont have summer rims yet, save the money for them instead of buying paint.

Not into the black look. I get that enough when I fail to clean my wheels.
On a same note..what kind of paint are you going to use? I'd like to refinish 2 of my wheels using the stock silver color, but I'm afraid I will have to do all 4 to get them to somewhat match.

Im using some walmart paint a lot of my friends who have e36's use.
They have had it on their wheels for 2 years and 1 year for the other. no sign of wear or deterioration at all! and 1.36 a can, you cant go wrong.
But I have bottlecaps to whoever was trying to sell me some, and BMWPOWER Im going to say do them all, youll be a lot more satisfied with the color match.

go for it man, i think it'll be dope. if your bored and ain't got nothin' to do this will be time well spent. i'd keep the lip unpolished, mine are unpolished and i dig it.

Me and Dean painted these wheels together, as well as mine.
We just used Walmart dollar a can primer, paint, and clearcoat.
Its cheap, and looks great.
The key is a light finger and lots of coats.

Looks like rattle cans were used to spray those wheels. You should have concentrated more on a better paint job or at least clearcoat.

I used rattle cans...so they wont be powder coat quality.
And there is a good clear coat..about 4 different layers. I painted flat black under the clear
