special edition wheel for BMW?

They are on a older 735i... I momentarily forgot the bmw designation... The guy is wanting to sell the wheels or the whole car, he said the wheels on the car are the "hot ticket item" but he doesnt know what they are. He said they are a factory BMW special edition wheel offered in commemoration of one of their race car drivers. I thought they looked similar to OZ racing wheels, two piece fat five spoke, and they did have a OZ sticker on them but it looked like it was just added. There was something stamped on the face of the spokes but because of dirt and it pouring rain I didnt investigate. I looked around a bit but didnt find any info on them...

They are Fittipaldi's .. which are made my OZ

I believe they are 3 piece wheels

How much would they be worth?

I saw them selling here for about $900 after being somewhat refinished with a polished lip. Not sure if they sold for that much....

What condition are they in? As long as they are straight with little to no curb rash...they can be worth a little.

:nono Why do people make up stuff like that! :rolleyes The truth ended when he said he didn't know what the wheels were...so why fabricate a lie to say that they are some special "commemorative" BMW wheel?

If they truly were BMW wheels...there would be an 11 or 7 digit BMW part nbr somewhere on the wheel...good luck finding it! :shifty

the whole opperation is a little shady, but if I can get them cheap I think I will try. He keeps switching his story up on me, he says, he thinks, someone told him, he heard etc etc...
