For the longest time I wanted a BMW and at last I have one:redspot. I got the car about two weeks ago and I am loving the car, it handles amazing and still pulls hard. It's a '98 328i, doesn't have too many mods i believe it just has a Sachs Stage 3 suspension. I plan to get some nice rims for it, an intake and exaust soon.

Good looking bimmer, i would say it needs som clears on the corners and ofcourse the side indicator. Lowering it wouldent hurt and those m3 rims your looking for would make it look nice!

But hey, mines no better right now!

I remember my excitement for my first bimmer, now the only thing that can quench my hunger is an ///M. I think your car can be great and you seem to have the enthusiasm to make it that way. You are going to be so broke after you start modding. Enjoy the ride.

Looks good.

I've been thinking about selling my DS1's. Might buy the style 32's from my brother that I refinished for him cause they are gunmetal.

Beautiful car... And I too am feeling the same as you, I've had mine for about 3 weeks now. And ever since I can remember I was always planning on getting a 96 328is. It almost seems too good to be true. Those Beyern rims are excellent, I was planning on getting some but my clutch started to slip a couple days ago. So I have began setting money aside for a UUC lightweight flywheel and a Sachs clutch kit...

Love the car though, keep us informed on your mods. I would also love to see pics of an E36 with the Beyern Silver Mesh 17's on it.

Very Nice looks clean,
A well kept E36 like yours can confuse a lot of people into thinking its a lot newer than it is....

It looks like you've already got an aftermarket exhaust, or at least the tips,

Personally I reckon the sedan's in really dark colours like black look great with the ambers, your car looks like a really dark green if I'm not mistaken, even darker than boston green perhaps,

PS How'd you get the headlights to work without the parking lights working in pics

3-8?

It looks darker because of the sunrise in back and my color is Oxford green (mettalic) and this was an "individual car" so i think that meant it had special paint and my intrior panels are bit diffrent from other 95-98 e36s
* i think but not sure:rolleyes

The car is looking good! I miss her : (

It is already lowered by the sachs kit, and those are just tips on the car.

Those wheels look nice, however they will probably be expensive. Look for a set of used DS2's they should be around 500 local with rubber, or around 700 shipped.

Good luck and enjoy!

Looks very nice, in good condition too. FLYINV is right about fooling people into thinking it's newer... I once had a guy come over and ask me how I liked my 'new BMW' because he'd always wanted to buy one! When I told him it was over 10 years old, he couldn't believe it- he seemed impressed that it looked that good for so long. Who knows, maybe I helped sell another BMW...

And you know, I never really cared for the E36 until I drove one (and uh, bought one...). They're very precise handling cars, the interior is small but comfortable, and the exterior dimensions of the car make it easy to maneuver in small spaces.

And that reminds me, I should take some new pics of my car sometime.

Actually the guy is selling the Beyer Mesh's for $750 with khumo ecsta ASX's which have only 500miles on them. The only downfall is that they are in Maine its a 2 hour drive from where i live.

I've got a way you can do it here. (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=909566)

I've also got the sachs kit, and yours seems to sit a bit higher than mine does for some reason. Perhaps I've had more time to sit on the springs, as I got mine last fall. Great photos though!

Made a new signature for you for kicks. Only thing is, the car looks black. You don't have to use it. Every once in awhile, I feel like messing about in photoshop... so yeah...

or otherwords replace all that expensive BMW OEM parts that made your car popular with cheap ass Hong Kong plastic imports off eBay so your car looks like it belongs to be driven by Little Bow Bow in Fast and The Furious 4.

When did quality OEM orange corners beome a bad thing? Clears make it look like you wanted another car, like an E39, but your Mommy could only afford an older model e36 for you.

Thats a good deal, and on a nice day a fun drive... I would pull the trigger if you like them, and they are in good shape.

I see no reason they wont fit. The sachs may settle more from driving. They just went on the car, and it went in the garage.

Looking forward to seeing pics with the new wheels.

+1 Give it a bit more time to settle after driving. I've got the same suspension AND wheels as you, and my car sits quite a bit lower than yours...

Your car sits about where mine did when I first acquired the suspension.

How many miles did you have to drive until they got settled / how long (months)
