I'm seriously considering a 2006 330i as a replacement to my current Jeep. The vehicle has the Sport Package so I'll have to do something to deal with the fun winters we have up here in Wisconsin. Can I get some suggestions on winter setups, i.e., wheel and tire combos and costs? I would actually prefer to just swap tires, but don't know how realistic that is due to the 18", low profile tires. I don't want to spend more than $1500 on an additional set of tires and wheels, but I also don't want to slide around all winter. For those of you in the snow belt, how does your RWD car handle the snow?
Thanks.

1500 will get you a nice set of 17" winter wheels + tires, so no worries. Check out tirerack.com for options. You missed the lengthy discussions during the winter months, no one wants to discuss snow anymore, it has been a long winter and most of it has already melted (not all of it here though :(), so search around and you'll find lots of info, but in short RWD with good set of snows is good enough for most people and conditions unless clearance becomes an issue.
