Hi folks:

Just curious if the Carsoft program can record DME data like ignition advance, rpm, tps, etc.

Yes it has the capacity to store live data.

Can you post an output David?

I assume that you are looking for a live data capture for the DME (which runs about 5 pages). Since I have deleted the only saved file I had, I will run another diagnostic during the next couple of days.

The process is a bit involved as the STORE button on Carsoft's Live Data screen only freezes the data so that you can take a screenshot to paste into a word document. The data is however fairly comprehensive. The maximum file size restrictions on this forum will not allow me to post the results as a PDF file (392kB), but I will email them to you if a PM doesn't work.

Okay, after cutting away all of the extra bits, I managed to reduce the PDF screenshot file of my live data to 95kB.238651

Thank you David!!

I was hoping you could store data on the fly. For instance you could hit a "record" button, drive around, and have the data logged for reviewing.

Anything like that an option?? :help

No, the best that Carsoft can do is freeze the data (which is accomplished by pressing the STORE button) so that you can copy it to something else. You can view live data whilst driving without any problems but you would have to capture it manually if a problem shows up.

Hey Street.. if you look at my "...Looking For Working CarSoft Cables..." thread here in this Forum..... I have a video of the Live Data reading of my car too.. just to compare.

Good Luck!
