You'll find there are two main thoughts about the fluid.

1 Use original BMW fluid, from Esso: have to get from dealer, comes in 5L jugs. Will need about 3. Costs about 250$ per jug.

2. Use an unverified alternative, such as Amosil. Lots cheaper.

I depends on how long you want the trans to last, and how much risk you want to take with it.
