Don't know if this applicable to all cars with memory seats but on my car when the memory (M) button is pressed the seat movement buttons cease to work until I press either the memory (1) or (2) button.

I had gone to get my car washed and they moved my seat. So I tried the seat movement buttons and nothing worked. I got out of the car and noticed they had pressed the (M) button. So I pressed the (M) button thinking it would turn it off, nope. It wouldn't turn off until I pressed (1) button.

So now the memory (1) button was set to wrong position for me but since both memory settings were set to my preferred driving position before this had happened I pressed the memory (2) button. I then pressed the (M) button but before pressing the (1) button I tried moving the seat and again they didn't work until I pressed the (1) button.

So if this is applicable to all cars and your seat doesn't move look at the memory button before making that appointment to have the seat fixed.

...I had gone to get my car washed...

Well there's your first problem. :stickoutt jk

Seriously, though, this is pretty bad design. Strange that you can't hit M again to 'cancel' the memory button. Otherwise, if you do have two drivers with memory settings, you've just ensured that one of the settings had been lost.

I have noticed the same thing before, and it does seem like a design flaw to me. I hate that if you accidentally hit the Memory button that you have to cancel out one of your seat presets. Just better hope that if you do, its how you like it so you can just make it your preset again.

The placement of the memory switch is ludicrous to begin with, should be on the door like a lot of cars have it.

Speaking of seat memory, I'm a little confused (possible stupid with regards to it). Ok, on my Acura, it had 2 fobs, and 2 memories. Whichever fob was being used it would resort to that seat position. If I let my buddy drive, and he moved the seat back, it would go back to my fob's position.

On my 335, it seems that every time I move the seat, that new position gets coupled to the fob, regardless if the memory button was pressed or not. Am I missing something here? That part seems silly..... I know it's a matter of time before my wife grabs my keys, and I'll be trying to wedge myself under the dash to get the seat back....
