After owning my e92 for just over 1 year and 13,000 I'm happy to say that I haven't been disappointed for 1 minute.
The following is a list of things that didn't happen:
1.) The fuel pump did not fail.
2.) I have not over heated.
3.) I never went into limp mode.
4.) My run flat tires did not grow noisy or wear out.
5.) No one threw up looking at my deep metallic green.
6.) I did not die a painful death driving in the winter with my summer sport tires.
I did however notice that since I've been able to put the window down now that warmer weather is here, one of my brake calipers seems to stick a little just after a full stop. Has any one else noticed this? I'm due for my service soon, so I'll have them take a look.

I read something about software upgrade and the fix for "sticky" brakes, not sure if this is your issue or not, but it's worth checking out.

I got almost 19k on my 335 and nothing has gone wrong except for the squeaky brake when accelerating from a stop, which they fixed. Other than that, it's been knock on wood with my car. Bought it back in july of 07, so around 10 months, not quiet a year, but enough mileage, prolly way too much for the time, but it's been great.

It's great to hear this as I've had mine now for 5 months now..with 5100 miles and the only indicator light I've gotten so far is one telling me I need to refill my wiper fluid..
The car drives like a dream!

07 335i coupe sport premium nav manual trans. heated seats.....20k miles in one year. What has gone wrong:
1. no overheat. Not even above 240 in Aug. highway stop and go
2. fuel pump pumps
3. everything works just fine
4. oil cooler is there.......
5. Run flats suck but did not wear out and are not noisy
6. idrive is easy to learn and use
7. Sirius radio is ok
8. 25 city 29.5 highway
9. relatively heavy foot
10. undid the connection by the left rear tail light to keep driver's exhaust open all the time. I love the sound
11. 4 oil changes, 3 on my dime.
12. front rotor is warping just a bit. Dealer will replace when it gets a bit more out of spec
13. lots of admiring looks
14. Some lessons had to be taught on the highway under good "educational conditions"
15. No tickets. (not to mean that some might have been deserved)
16. Next month: Dinan S2 chip

I may have this. When I let off the brake pedal, sometimes the car will not idle forward immediately and then jump forward a little. These are slow starts meaning letting the idle get me going vs immediately giving it gas. Is this similar to your experience?

I think there is a brief, (2 second) hold where the brakes hold the car to keep it from rolling backwards on a an incline....then it lets loose. A modern aid to those who did not learn to feather the clutch to get underway on a hill.

Glad to hear you never went into "limp mode" LOL
Why would someone throw up looking at that color? would you? Its personal preference, I personally like that color. Not sure why you would say that about the color YOU chose.
Thats good news though about no probs. Seems like alot of 335's are experiencing issues, esp with the fuel pump

Not if you start from neutral. Here is how I believe the hill assist function you elude to works (this is my estimation not necessarily the way it works, though this would be the way I'd design it):
- When you depress the clutch with the car in gear and apply the brakes, the system arms the hill assist feature.
- When you take your foot off the brakes, if the clutch is still depressed, the system will hold the brakes for 2 seconds or until the gas pedal is depressed or car starts moving!
- If neither the clutch is depressed nor the car in gear, the feature doesn't engage.
I don't believe there are any sensors and thus this works on all inclines or none, but to be honest I never tried to see if this is the case, which would be easy by testing it on a downwards incline.

You actually get 25 mpg in the City? I have trouble managing that on the highway...must be a city with no stop signs.

Surely your shoulder belt handover arm seized up, or a cupholder snapped off!?!
Four oil changes in 20K??? What, you can't afford to do it at proper intervals?:)

to tell the complete truth......
city is 25.5, but most, say 75%, of my driving is highway...so I just let it average over several tanks of fuel....that would bring real city down a bit. Sorry....but just after filling up and driving on expressway all day....I have gotten 30 to 32, and that is at 80+. Go figure, but no complaints compared to my old trusty 750iL.
and, darn it...you reminded me....I did break the *&^!!! passenger seat belt "valet". It came out, would not retract, so I gently pushed it back in. Worked fine after that, except it sounded like a large dog chewing on rocks. Dealer replaced under warranty.
Add these corrections to my list.
So....I go to drive a new 08 M3....it has the same dumb belt valet too.....!

I have an automatic and it happens on flat surfaces so not sure why it happens.

As I said, I doubt there is an incline sensor, so the feature would work no matter what. See my post above and feel free to test my theory.

10700 miles later (Leased since 04/07):
Stalled one time pulling out of a parking lot (Auto).
Noisy belt (but not enough to be annoying)
That is it.

Actually, I love the green. I was just responding to many other posts that I read in which others expressed that they did not. Personally, I could give a crap what anyone else thinks, I just thought it would add a bit of levity.

I'm at about 7500 miles, and I have just had a problem (yesterday and today). Upon start-up it turned over a bunch of times, then kicked, knocked, fluttered with RPM's goin' from 200 to 3000 erratically. I shut'r down, and restarted with a lot of turnover, then it idled normally and proceeded to run fine. This morning...same thing. Got an '08 550i loaner and waiting to see what's up.
Til yesterday - my only issue was the tow cover falling off (replaced free) - now I'm disappointed. :(

Why don't you guys update our Sticky post with your issues/reliability info, that would prove useful to all and much easier to locate:

I love this post. Here's my experience with my 335, Sport, Prem., Auto purchased in Nov. '06.:
Been to track 14 times
It makes me wanna drive more
I'm still tickled everytime I look at it and see it waiting for me
It introduced me to really learning how to drive and although it's hard on the wallet I love it!!
Oil cooler installed by BMWNA and all is well at the track. I was in 95 degree heat and I didn't have an issue. Had to short shift a bit but we didn't buy a race car.
Seat belt arm still works but I grab the belt before I start the car. Annoying little accessory.
Fuel pump fine
Run flats gone but then I went to the track. n fact, they were better than the Toyo T1Rs I replaced them with.
Waste gate issue but gladly fixed by dealer
After 12 track days my brakes finally needed replacin. Maybe I'm not driving hard enough?
Once I'm done at the track I wash her and it voila, it's a beautiful and well-mannered car again
If you don't already have one, get one.
