Hey all, i've been trolling the forums for some time. I've been interested in getting a bmw for a while, and finally went for it today. It's hard finding a 330xi, especially around here in Chicago where I am. There was a used car dealership that had good BBB reviews and some forum members on here and on some other BMW forums have said it was a good place to deal with. The price was in my price range, and I was glad to find a 330xi... but I'm wondering if I should've went elsewhere and seeked a 325 or 328xi perhaps.

I traded in my fully loaded 2005 Lexus IS 300 as part of the deal. I'm wondering if I got a good deal on the car. It rides great, but it doesn't have many options added. I initially came in asking for the 330xi that had a premium package and cold weather package, but apparently it was sold and the internet listings weren't updated. It was going for $1,000 less than the one I got, but had ~7,000 more miles. I ended up getting this one: http://world-class-motorcars.ebizautos.com/detail-2006-bmw-3_series-330xi_sedan-2863278.html

It's pretty clean and runs well. I'm missing the built-in nav, dimming mirrors, and garage door controls (the listing lists Homelink... but it wasn't in the car/part of the car when I checked it out. :() that I was used to in my Lexus; apparently these are in the premium package, which this car doesn't have... I guess it's a trade off on the miles that I am saving on here.

Any thoughts, opinions or sentiments anyone can share regarding this purchase? I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

Too late now but why did you buy it if it was missing features you were wanting? Buyer's remorse sucks though, I know I've been through it more than once ;)

Mostly because the mileage was so low and the price point was good for what I was willing to pay. It's also hard coming across a 330xi. At least rain sensing wipers are standard. :-p

Congrats and welcome the the Bimmer world. You will find that missing the premium pkg is no big whoop as you throw the car into its first set of twisties!!!

The '06 330XI is a really fun car, I test drove one of those last year... Very nice, you'll love it.
