What's the difference between "AIM" Instant Messenger and "AOL" Instant Messenger. The icon http://self.phpwebhosting.com/~bimmer/forum/images/aim_icon.gif looks to be the same!

When I try to click on the icon and send someone an IM a window pops up saying I must have "AIM". I have my AOL's "Screen Name" correctly listed in my profile. For some unknown reason (to me) my AOL "IM" won't work.

I'm confused! Would someone please explain to me what the difference is...or how it works.

think about it......

AIM and AOL Instant messenger are the same thing

its probably not configured properly, you shouls just use ICQ, asferall AIM is going out the window cause AOL bought ICQ.

It isn't configured properly right now. When you click the AIM button for someone, it should say "Send a message to {name_nere}" The {name_here} part isn't working yet.

Okay, thanks guys. I was beginning to think it was just me that couldn't get it to work.

I guess we need to get Ray to configure the IMs so they'll work.

I appreciate it...
