I have heard good things about their new chip for the 335i, any first hand info out there?
From their web page:
"The results of Dinan’s tuning are nothing short of breathtaking, with the added boost and related recalibration producing maximum output of 384 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 421 lb-ft torque at 4300 rpm. All of this additional power is available from Dinan’s software alone, which is easily downloaded by your Authorized Dinan Dealer in about an hour."

My dealer did it...BMW Northwest in Fife (Tacoma), WA. Out-the-door price was $2152 I think.

How long after the 2007 335i was released in the states did dinan have these upgrades available for this car?
Im wondering because I want to get the 2009 335diesel upgraded when it gets here.
I have a tourqe sickness.
How long will I have to wait?

I didn't see on the Dinan site that the flash was available for diesel engines and probably won't be available. I don't think any of the turbo tuners out there are considering product for diesel, but you may want to ask Terry (JuiceBox) and maybe hang on e90post, lots of tweakers (and children) on that forum.

Hello "Ty Vil":
What say you drop me a PM and tell me the skinny on the actual dealer cost. YHWH knows I have shelled out plenty of shekels to them and I would not mind knowing where they stand if I start to bargin for the upgrade. Hey, we are not talking your ordinary, run-of-the-mill shekel, I paid in sanctuary shekels!
Help me out here.

I'm not sure any company will tell you the 'cost' of their products they sell so you can negotiate with them to get it cheaper.

I'd also like to point out that if you read AUTOWEEK they are trying to sell all their BMW cars...hmmm.

Yes you can.
I'm not in the position where I'm going to give away cost on a public forum; I value my employment and my company enjoys being a Dinan franchise. Selling below a certain price point (and getting caught) is grounds for having your dealer agreement with Dinan terminated though.

Does the Manufacturers Warranty & Maintenance Warranty go VOID with Dinan s/w when I change the s/w and take the car for service or if I have issues with turbo or engine etc...

I listened to a presentation by Steve Dinan in Nov and he said he hadn't decided whether to do diesel products. One, he doesn't like diesels and two most people who purchase them didn't do so for performance. He was worried not enough people would purchase to make it a viable business endeavor. He has had to cut down on products offered in tougher economic times to stay profitable.
That said, he also said that that 800+ lb/ft was possible with the 335d.

The engine and related warranty will be voided and replaced by the Dinan warranty. Warranty on unrelated items is unaffected nor is the maintenance plan.

I have had the stage one software on my 335 xi but due to teh numerous fuel pump and injector failures on my engine, have it temporarily out of the program. When your BMW dealer needs to replace certain components in your fuel injection system, they will need to reset the ECU to factory settings and clear any codes that were in there, so you might be making a few trips back and forth between your BMW dealer and your Dinan installer. Currently Dinan is trying to get their revised software out to their dealers to enable restoring many cars back to Dinan's original tuning level. SO, in a nutshell, the Dinan part of the produet is terrific, but you might want to ask yourself if you want to install their great product on a not so great BMW engine? If you own a 2007-9 335, you are going to be having fuep pump and injector problems. Even though the Dinan product is in no way responsible for it, the BMW dealer can turn around and tell you that they must reset your software in order for them to perform a waranty repair of your car. Since some BMW dealers are also Dinan dealers and installers, I do not think BMW is going to take a really hard line on refusing warranty claims related to the fuel system, but if you read both warranty statements VERY carefully, you will see that there is some gray are in them that can leave you stuck in the middle. When it is in and running, it is flawless, but unfortunately( this is just my opinion), the twin turbo motor's fuel injection system is a dud. Good luck if you go ahead with it.

i just went into budds bmw in toronto and was told that the warrenty from bmw is not void if you get the tune and if the car is brought in for something they feel was caused by the tune they cover it and go after dinan for the repair cost. as opposed to dianan taking over the warrenty. I didn't read any warreny papers that's just how he explained it
as long as your car is still under the original warrenty,
should have mentioned that
