Hey Guys, 1996 328i so I go to do the pita starter removal. I pull the intake manifold, and starter and I had a pan under the car catching all the residual antifreeze from open hoses. So the attached pic shows a part I'm pretty sure came from my car. It must of dropped into the pan when I wrestled the manifold out.
It's a clear thin rectangle made of a rubbery material. Is it a gasket? Any one recognize this part? I hate to put everything back together and find out I need this somewhere. Appreciate any input.
Thanks

I've taken a few apart and that is not anything I've ever seen. Sorry I can't say for sure, but it looks like it might be something not related to your car. or at least not to the intake manifold.

That little gasket goes with one of your electrical connectors. It's a moisture seal.

Should be easy enough to figure out where it goes.

thanks guys, I'll look at the connectors
That looks like the seal between the electrical connector for your injectors.
