I'm looking at a local 95 m3 with 148k on it. guy is asking 8k. has a few dings

think i should go for it? im too paranoid im gonna run into too many problems. he has cooling system overhauled, fuel pump replaced and suspension replaced, other then those, the car is stock.
or should i run for my life?

thats how many miles i have as well...she still chirps 2nd, and will gladly redline any gear...

feels about the same as a 58k m3 i drove last year...

low ball him though. say 6.5k...

That doesn't sound like much of a maintenace record to me. Maintenance on something around 150,000 miles should have added up to $10,000 by now, unless there is more you haven't seen yet. I like the $6,500 offer. Not over $7,000.

Depends on how hard she was driven.

i payed 9k for my 1995 M3 with 166k on it but i had a folder 2" thick and me and a friend went threw all the maint/mod reciepts and it came out to be $33,000... 11,400 of it was at BMW dealers alone.

6,000.

those miles aren't bad for these cars, but at the same time.. gotta watch that maintenance.

There is no such thing as too many miles.
Think of it this way; How many miles are too many for a human?

I paid 7800 for an M with 194k miles...148k isn't a lot at all, if the maintenance has been kept up. 8k doesn't sound like a bad price at all, you could offer 7500...

paid 9500 for 160k with acs rims, suspension, intake, exhaust, chip, ssk, ect..
i have 15k in maintenance records, big book, but Ive still run into maintenance issues.
