318is FLATSPOT AROUND 4000RPM

I Have Had The Car Chipped, Air Filter, Exhaust But I Cant Get Rid Of This Flat Spot Arounf 4k To About 5k Rpm, Anyone Please Tell Me What I Can Do To Sort This.!?

The Car Is A 318is M42 Engine!

1. Take 318 to scrap yard.

2. Buy 6 cyl.

3. Drive around without getting laughed at.

I had a similar problem and it was a fault in the abs/tc system. Ended up replacing 1 wheel speed sensor and the brake pedal travel switch.
