Is anyone else’s ordered 3 Series 3 weeks late?
I ordered my Black Sapphire 335i on 12/28 with anticipation of taking delivery late Feb early March. My Dealer has been telling me that my car is “released to carrier” for 3 weeks now and that it should be in “any day”.
The lease on my old car (2006 Volvo S60 T5) was up on 3/22, on 3/28 after threatening to walk away from BWM, my dealer gave me a loaner 328xi. It’s a nice car but it’s not my 335i.

Thats good you got a loaner. I would have asked for the same.
Regarding the wait. That sucks. "released from carrier, and should be any day" is BS. Your dealer knows exactly where the car is at all times. Demand to know where it is and tell the CA that these non specific answers are not good enough.
Normal time is 6-8 weeks.
Good luck

That's simply not true. Released to carrier means the trucking company is in possession of the car.
Hey fperry6:
I feel for your frustration. I was in the same boat this time last year. Ordered my 335i in January 2007 and was given the impression that it would be in my hands in early April. I drove it away from the dealer on June 06th! I know that a year ago this was more common due to supply and demand and dealer allocations but nevertheless the wait and anticipation was agonizing. What really helped was Bimmerforums with all the various comments and posts. The smile on my face since receiving my car hasn't faded and in many ways; I have forgotten the frustration I went thru. It sounds like you should be getting your car soon. Hang in there!:)
