I'm new to BMW and this forum. What can I add to enhance performance
on my 2007 328i? Nothing major needed.
Thanks,

I've heard rumor of some kind of badass twin-turbo setup for that car. :D
If you're wanting more performance, why didn't you just go with the 335?

Not enough cash for the 335. Thought I can work on the exaust or air intake?

CAI, Exhaust, Turbo kit, Chip, Supercharger. I suggest taking a poke around the forum and seeing what others are doin'. Welcome to the forum

I don't think that many products have been developed for the E90 yet.

Best thing you can do now is get an aFe or gruppeM intake + some kind of performance exhaust. I just installed the aFe CAI. The kit i bought from bavauto.com cost about $400. It sounds great ! Now I'm about to get magnaflows installed for $200 ! They have't came out with any performance chips or forced induction kits yet :(

Honestly it's WAY more expensive to FI a NA car. So even before you do it...it's cheaper to trade the car in and get that performance from the factory.
When I had my 350Z a twin turbo setup was $7,000 for just the kit. Not on a built block or with everything you needed. Install was brought it up to almost 10K for about 100whp.
trade it in for a 335.....there is no easy/cheap way to gain much performance out of a 328. sorry.
Intake and exhaust w/ a chip is about all your gonna do....and that will cost you a few thousand probably.

I agree with the others that the best choice is to trade it in and get a 335i.
With that said, I think the biggest performance improvement on either car is lighter wheels and tires. You can drop almost 20 lbs PER WHEEL/TIRE! This will help acceleration, braking, and cornering.

The best performance mod is to go to a driving school and learn how to get all you can out of the car before you try to boost up the car.

Light wheels and tires are anywhere from 3-5K...not really that cost effective.

You can get a decent set of wheels for $1500 and eventually you'll have to buy tires anyway so I don't count them.
I'll buy a set of 17" OZ Ultraleggera wheels for $1052 when the original tires wear out. They're 17.6 lbs each vs 30 pounds for the stock 17x8.5 rear wheels. Add a set of go-flat tires and that's 20 lbs off each rear and 17 lbs off each front.

I have an 07 328xi and i was looking for performance parts also for my car. Which led me to do some research, and I think i found the engine code for the engine, its the same as the z4 3.0 motor, different output in the z4 though. If anyone knows anything about either one of the two engines, they might be able to steer you in the right direction. But anyway if they both have the same engine, G-POWER makes a supercharger kit for the z4 for (probably) a high price.
