A few years back I installed chrome rings into my cluster. During the install I managed to bump one of the installed rings out of place and I got a very small amount of super glue on the face of the cluster. Its only noticeable when the sunlight hits it and I really haven't payed much attention to it for the past while. But now, for whatever reason, its starting to bug me.

How do I remove old superglue w/ out damaging the color of the instrument cluster or scratching it?

Wow that is going to be tough, you may just have to live with it. Acetone is what is usually used to remove superglue and you would not want to get that anywhere near the instrument cluster.

Similarly I have used fingernail polish remover - but I don't know how that would affect the cluster. I think it you put a little bit on a cloth and rub at it you could get it off without damaging the plastic - just let the mechanical movement do most of the work and let the chemical help you out a bit.

Perhaps if you have clumps you could get a razor blade to meticulously get the big stuff off and then finished off with a chemical.

That's all I've got. Good luck.

You could try automotive GooGone But I'm not sure if it would harm the cluster.

Its not a whole lot of glue. Its only noticeable when sunlight directly hits it at the right angle. Very minute amounts.
