S50 - S52

after an s50 to s52 engine swap, there is a check engine light that comes on and goes off every so often; is this normal? is there a way to make it so that the 95///M is fully compatible with the s52 so that this light stops coming on?

purchasing the car, had the engine swap already. this happens when i drove it.

+1 , Also- others with similar symptoms have discovered a faulty knock sensor. Not saying that is the case with your car, but keep that in the back of your mind when running different diagnostics . . .

faulty knock sensor-- that's not too expensive is it? I could probably do that one in shop.

Get your fault codes checked first before you start buying things. Look it up on KO Performance for a good price though.

thanks for all the help, will do; car has not been purchased yet and figured this would be a good place to ask questoins. so far it is!

DEI + tranny oil does amazing things.
