I've had mine for 5 months now and must say that I absolutely enjoy my ride!! This is my first BMW and although I have had friends who have driven Bimmers I reluctantly held off for quite awhile because I felt I couldn't justify the expense being a family man and all..well Dame Fortune happened to lay her hands on me by bringing me a much higher paying job in the energy industry and all of a sudden I ran out of excuses...

With much trepidation I made the decision to go for the 335i after being advised strongly by many of my "experienced" BMW enthusiast buds..

After many weekends of searching..I finally happened upon a 2007 335i SG with a beautiful black leatherette interior..the car had 10 miles on it and it was sitting in the showroom beckoning me..after spending 2 full days of haggling back and forth with my "client advisor" we finally came to terms and I nervously drove off in my brand new 335i!

I just couldn't believe I was actually driving this car! I've had it for 5 months now and have about 5000 miles on it and each day is just as fresh as the previous! I absolutely love driving this car and have no regrets at all about my decision..

Believe you me I drove them all..Lexus IS 350, Nissan G35, Audi A4, Porsche Boxster...but in the end the 335i captured my heart...it is absolute perfection! For the money I feel IMHO you can't do any better...no wonder it is the benchmark that all sports sedans strive to reach!

Let me know your feelings...don't be shy...

Similar story here... Except more recent. I am the proud owner of a 335i sedan (silver, 6MT, sport package, bluetooth, leather). Extremely happy with it so far (1 week now). I drove LOTS of cars (Audi TT, A4, A5, Mercedes C and E class, Cadillac CTS, STS, etc...) before breaking down and driving a BMW. I suppose I knew that once I drove it, nothing else would be up to par.

Anyway, once I made the decision that the BMW was the one for me, it was just a matter of finding the one that had what I wanted on it. The combo of manual transmission, silver, sedan, leather, bluetooth and NO NAV package was tough to find. The second time I went back, to check out the manual coupes they had, a silver sedan just arrived off of the truck. It had 3 miles on it when I test drove it, and it hadn't even been "prepped" by the dealership yet.

After a couple hours of negotiation with my client advisor, (really just giving them time to prep it and fill the tank LOL) I drove off in my shiny new silver sedan.

Just received a tin of cookies today from the dealership - maybe I didn't negotiate hard enough (they shouldn't be able to afford to send me cookies if I had negotiated well :nono)

Anyway, I have absolutely enjoyed every trip I have made in it (I even made "extra" trips that weren't really necessary - but I'm sure you've all been there).

I ve had my 335i coupe for 3 to 4 weeks only hahah. Fully loaded minus the nav. I love every ride in it. Simple as that. I drove a friends 335i last year and knew I had to get one myself. I didn't do much comparison/car testing to make up my mind. I already have a Lexus IS250 AWD and the only other cars I bothered to try are the 328xi and Audi A4.
Well yaa haha I simply had to get the 335i. it was that easy.

We absolutely fell in love (or is that lust!) with this car around Holloween of '06. Tried to find one that was available with our options but couldn't so we placed an order for it.

Our only issue was a 2 month wait for a new HPFP, and we did consider lemoning the car, but it was worth waiting for. So far, alls been great and we're going on 23K miles.

It's truly the best all around driver we've had.

Much of the same here! Ordered my coupe to my specs (Sace Gey/6mt/Sport/Prem/Heated Seats) and I can't get enough of it. I've only got about 7000 miles on it, but I've enjoyed every one.

I just got back from two weeks in Italy...and literally the first thing I did when I got back was take out my car and tear up the streets in the neighborhood. My wife couldn't believe that I wanted to drive after 20 hours of travel (trains, airports, cabs etc). All I wanted to do was to drive that thing - honestly I hadn't driven in two weeks...I was in withdrawal. Frickin' love it. :buttrock

I've had my 335i coupe for 3 days now and it's on it's way to becoming my favorite daily-driver car ever. (and I've been driving for 29 years)

It's the right balance for me. I need to drive a sedan for work, and I need a car I like for my sanity.

I got the auto (first automatic car I have ever purchased) because I spend most of my drive time stuck in traffic on the phone. It's pretty much the best all around car I've owned.

I sold me 2004 Twin Turbo 350Z and was looking for cars. I didn't know what I wanted. The new Audi TT was out, the S4, a C6 any other car that I wanted I looked at. I didn't know the new coupe was out, and liked the 4-door but I was driving down the highway and saw a car I didn't recognize. I was first captivated by the rear taillights. Their red glow was like a bug light. I pulled up and saw a beautiful shape coupe and then went to work to check out the stats.

After thinking about cars I went to the dealer. I saw a Montego Sedan I loved...but there weren't any 335 coupes. I test drove the sedan and the power sold me. I then drove a 328 coupe and new i needed the engine. So my priorities when 335/MT and searched with the dealer to find either a coupe or sedan. There weren't any.

So I called around until I found them, and the dealer had a 335 Coupe, MT, Sport, Ipod read for me. Now it wasn't exactly the car I wanted but it had the basics I needed. Sport and 6MT. I would have gotten Montego or red, and had leather w/heated seats if I wanted to wait...but I wanted and needed...so I got it. There was a sedan around that was a much better deal, but it didn't make me WANT it like the coupe.

It's been 1 year this month, 11,000 miles and only an IPOD problem. I love it. in 2 years I'll probably love something else, but at 43K I don't know of a better car.

..Believe you me I drove them all..Lexus IS 350, Nissan G35, Audi A4, Porsche Boxster...but in the end the 335i captured my heart...it is absolute perfection! ...

I'd rank the Boxster first, but that's just me. The 335i is a gem. I have both. I love the looks of the BMW. Drove home tonight in our 07 Boxster following my Wife in the 335i coupe. I salivated.

I had a Boxster S; it was great, but I decided that I needed a muscle car. I was going to order an '05 M3, but found a good '04. Loved the engine performance, but tired of the wannabe racer ride. I bought a Lex is350 and thought I had bought a "better BMW". Tired of the car in a year; tried a 335, and within 300 feet decided I had to have one. I have added the (relatively) dust free brake pads, a M-sport wheel, and Dinan flash. I have the best daily driver available for less than $500,000. (E92 with all the bells, and most of the whistles.)

Boxster S and Cayman S are amazing. It's one of the most precise cars I've driven. I loved it, but couldn't justify it's price over what other cars are out there, and I just gave up a 2 -seater. But I'm thinking of looking for a used one at the end of this lease.

Man.. I came from an American (Trans Am WS6) and Japanese (ES300) cars into this Bavarian world, AND WILL NEVER GO BACK!

I was hesitant about BMW as well because of the stereo types that go with owning one, the cost of ownership, and mixed reviews on their looks (older ones). But when the new 335i coupe came out, I had to go and test drive it. The moment I did, I immediately ordered this bad boy and put my ES300 up for sale.

15 months and 27,000 miles later (I drive a ton) and I'm still loving it! Don't think I'll ever consider any German competitor to BMW except maybe Porsche (but they're in another class/price of their own). In fact, I'm already contemplating adding to the collection in the future when the next M3 comes out (gotta save up and prepare for it hehe).

I purchased my 2007 black 335i in Jan 2007. It has terra cotta interior, and sport package with SMG & the $ 100.00 paddle shifter option.

I have loved every minute.

After putting Bilstein coilover suspension, sway bars, and performance
chip, the massive power of the twin turbo power plant brightens every
day. An occasional excursion to a track day at VIR allows even more
delight, while consuming an occasional Lotus, Porsche, or even an M3.

A great touring car, even with an aggressively stiff suspension setup.
A driver's car for sure, but what if it weighed under 3k.

I have no complaints, and only praise. With a set of 19" M3 CSL wheels, this car gets complements & stares everywhere I go.

Truly BMW bliss.

Cars don't weigh under 3,000 lbs these days. The list of them that do is small. Even smaller of the ones you'd want to drive.

I'd take a 3,900 GTR over a Lotus Elise in a heartbeat.

I have driven my 335i for 11 months (14K miles) after having an E320 MBZ (80K).
335i is similar and performs similar to wife’s 996, just as quick and nimble, with a bit more room for others.
Quality is impeccable. Interior ergonomics leaves a bit to be desired, too much reaching for controls.
Nav and I-drive are just OK, but better than no Nav or I-drive.
If you want a non-sport ride – go for the 535 non-sport model – test drive both to decide. I find the sport ride fun for about 50-75 miles, after that I feel “beat-up”.
There is not a lot of room in the 335i for passengers, luggage, or golf clubs – not sure that is important but something for consideration.
Do not expect great fuel economy – 22-23 mpg may be the norm, since it will be difficult to not have some spiriting driving,
Good luck on your decision and let us know what you decide.
