Hey guys,
I currently own and drive a 1996 328is with 111k miles. Someone just traded in a 1995 M3 with 96k miles in at work.
My question is, how much should the car be worth if I considered buying it?
Also, would it be a smart choice? Is there really that much of a difference?

all depends on the condition of the M. Either way, take it for a test drive- if your impressed make an offer. If not, then you haven't lost anything . . .

Have money for maintenance. That is all.

I had a 1996 328is and then went to a 98 m3. I had all the bolt ons on the 328is, and suspension upgrades.. I loved that car. I then got the m3 and loved it even more. Just the torque and pull even on the stock m3 seems so much more than the 2.8 liter. As far as maintenance, i had around 150k miles on the 328is, and i have about the same on the m3. I had way more problems on the 328is, so far, knock on wood, but the parts are more expensive usually for the m3.

Well, they're still getting it ready for resale. Once they're done I'll be able to test drive it an comment on it.
It IS a 95, so that means it has NO vanos? AND is OBDI ?

It does have vanos, just like the 3.2Ls. It is OBDI.
A car with that many miles needs at least the following the 'feel' connected to the road:
1. FCABs
2. RTABs
4. Shocks/Struts
But yes, you will feel the power and want the car. These cars have great motors.

I bet if I did the bushings and struts (might as well go with an upgrade) my car would feel like new.
