View Full Version : FCAB's: Centered Vs. Non-Centered. Whats the diff?

I'm looking into replacing all bushings that are wishbone related, and I just came across some FCAB's that had holes in the center, and others with the hole offset from center. What's the difference? Is it just a change that was made from '96, and up? They would be for a '97 Coupe.

TIA

95 and older e36 use them(as well as e30) to add caster.

The 96 and later use a center'd bushing because that caster that the offset bushing provides in already built into the suspension geometry.

Use a centered on the later model. You can have too much caster, you will see the late model M3's with their front tire almost touching the bumper...

How much caster does this bushing add? 1deg? 2?
