Hey Guys- I am getting my very 1st BMW tomorrow here in NY. 328xi bronze metallic cold weather package prem. package ipod/usb adapter

Car is a demo with 6k miles on it. They really wanted to move it out before the end of the month. Did a 36 month lease with no money down except taxes, title etc.. 450 a month... seemed like a great deal. Did I do well...

Do you remember how much the chromse exhaust tips are?

if yours is a 2008 then you won't need chrome tips as they now come with brushed stainless tips (at least that is what i saw in the showroom recently).

if it is a 2007 then you will want them. the tips are available thru your BMW dealer. about $72 for the pair and the dealer installed them at no charge. it took just a few minutes. i told them i didn't have a tool to tighten the set screw. they just slip over the stainless exhaust pipes.

pix please. :)

Right, tips are now standard on all 2008 e90's.

Sounds like a good deal. What was total down? How many miles per year?

What do you guys think about the dealer installed chrome tips vs. the standard stainless steel tips that now come on 2008 e90's? Is there a difference?

When I first ordered my car, I knew I could not live with the terrible unfinished exhaust, so I was pleased that its now standard :)

ofcourse the 2008 brushed stainless exhaust tips look much better than the unfinished steel exhaust pipe on the pre-2008 models. i still can't believe that BMW would actually deliver a $40k car with those nasty looking unfinished steel pipes. they owe me $72 for having to correct the situation. :mad

it is just personal preference as to chrome vs. brushed stainless. the chrome tip sleeves are very shiny and make the exhaust outlets looks larger because they increase the perceived diameter of the outlet. i like the chrome.

Congrats, same here, my Monaco Blue 328xi will be delivered this Saturday. Of course I'm psyched and have been watching YouTube footage of Bimmers hugging corners at high speed...Suddenly I understood where George Lucas found his Tie Fighter sound. ;)

I put down tax title security and 1st month... I also had another payment or two left on the lease of this other car and I talked the salesman into paying those 2 payments as well! That was 600 bucks. Ended up to be like 2200 initial payment which is not bad. Like I said if this was not a demo it would probbaly be like 550-600 per month with all the options.

I think the 5k miles on the car was well worth the price. I am excited to pick it up. Pretty cool new color also ( Platinum bronze)

I actually saw the brushed stainless today on my car when I went to sign. I was surprised. They actually look really clean. I have decided not to purchase the chrome tips at this point, becuase the brushed look great. Thanks for your help.

Nice...and you don’t have to drive yourself crazy waiting for the break-in period to be over.

Did you get it from Rallye? They offered me a similar deal last month but I decided I didnt want a demo and got a brand new car off the lot from Hassel after using the demo lease as a negotiating tool. You are going to LOVE this car. I look forward to driving it everyday.

Yes-I got it from Rallye. They were very nice to deal with and they gave me a great deal for a car with just 5k miles on it. Are you enjoying yours
