OK...I've had the JB2R installed in my car for almost as long as I've owned it...and finally, I got the time to go and put some 100 octane in the tank (1/2 100 octane and 1/2 93 octaine for the 96 octane cocktail).
Filled her up...shut her off, flipped my switch, started her up and pulled out with high hopes. Well, I let it adjust a bit and let the ECU get the feel for what was actually going on with a few little blips here and there before I really laid into it.
OK...let's get to the jist of it. This thing is AMAZING...I can't say enough about it. It's very fast...can't believe I have a car that is as fast as it is for what I paid. Not to mention reliable, turn key. I had a blast running the car then found out I had to make a quick run to Chicago...bummer for me as I was going to burn up all my 96 octane cocktail on the highway where I try to run sensibly. Good news, it really pulls hard at highway speed too.
Pulled onto my dealers lot and wittnessed three Subaru WRX's...one being an STI. Hmmmm....wonder who these belong to and if they're interested in a little fun?? Found out they all three belong to three of their young mechanics...how the hell are they affording these cars I wondered?? Well, I have to remain responsible when I am out on business so I didn't challenge anyone to a run, but I really wanted to put the young pups in their place...just wasn't wanting to upset anyone...no doubt in my mind someone would have gotten schooled and it wasn't going to be me.
I love my JB2R...I just wish 96 octane pumped out of the pump without mixing. Can't wait to get some more!!
