I just noticed that the tirerack has added quite a new selection of RFTs (high performance) so if you are looking for summer tires, you may want to check them out, you have better choice and seems better pricing. Just select custom tire sizes and enter the OEM tire size or tire size of choice. selecting their "OEM tire choices" button yields only a subset.

P.S. I have a posting on the tire section to get feedback on some offered RFTs.

Summer tires, are there any other kind? Why would you need any other kind, the road to the golf course is the same in December as is it in in July for me...

I would highly recommend the Continental ProContact SSR's over the Bridgestone Turanzas. The B-stones are the biggest piles of crap I have ever driven on a car. and the Conti's are cheaper too!

I'd be hard pressed to purchace another runflat after the Turanzas. Would have to drive a car with a different brand of RFT because the Bridgestones really are crap. Gimmie a plug kit and a compressor <$50 and you've got the same thing.

Anyone know the BMW policy on lease returns as it applies to RFT brand? Can we return the car with "equivalent" tires of a different brand?

As long as they are RFT of equivalent or higher speed rating I believe. Not sure if sizes have to be exactly as supplied, or just any OEM size or maybe anything, but I doubt the latter. I am keeping my stock tires for when I turn the car in, they'll get a good deal, they barely have 5000 km on them.
