I can't stop myself from driving it -I feel lik I'm in a race car especially with windows down and using the paddles changing gear in red line. I am 35 - -but I just can't stop!! for sure I'm gunna loose my licence soon!!

OK, I'll do it.
You are immature. :D
Oth, sounds like you are having fun. Go for it. I have an old Corvette and will often make excuses just to take it out (weather permitting) just for a quick cruise.

I find myself doing the same thing, not to race anyone, but i'm trying to hit that magical 1200 mile mark so I can really let loose on it. Even though i'm breaking it in you can still feel the beast in this thing. Can't wait until I get the turbo tuner also!

Just make sure you invest in a good radar detector (you will need it) and make sure no cars are around you. Save the speed for the track, not on city roads and not on quiet neighborhoods

+1 to that. I can't wait to hit that mark. I find any excuse to drive it. I even drive for a living lol. Last weekend I used the navi for the first time to get to another BMW dealership 3 hours away just to put some miles on it.

Yes, and imagine my problems. Every day I wake up and face the difficult questions:
Will it be the X5, the 540i or the 335i today? Damn, I hate life.:)

You're not immature... 100% NOT immature... You're in love with your car... and there's nothing wrong with that... every time i do something to my car, ex: upgrades or add something really nice, I will drive up the canyons back down and then over again... There's nothing wrong with that IMO.

Yep...I live for the weekends when I can take the Bimmer out on these back country roads near my home and open it up! These roads are in great shape and offer twists and turns that make the experience so much more fulfilling!
My commute to work is also a kick in that I find cars like G35s and Porsche Boxsters and Nissan 350Zs looking to take me on..so far I've emerged the victor! Good thing I have a fantastic RD..an Escort Solo S2..it has saved me on many occasions! LOL!!

Hello "jurrianT":
So how about a middle age (yeah, middle age, as if anyone is going to live to 150!) male who would rather spend the night with his BMW than the wife???
NO, NO, not me. I was talking about some other loser. No, some loser that was not me. Yes, someone else.

Hehe yea at least you guys have the nice roads...Chicago has amongst the worst roads in the country, so it's hard to really enjoy this fine driving machine. But once I find that smooth, clear, open road....I just romp it and the h*** with everything else! The feeling of driving this car is so intoxicating.
Enjoy but be safe.

If you think you have it bad, take a trip to Ottawa and there is a good chance you won't make it back with the same tires you came with. 9 month on my car and so far a tire replaced and alignment needed. Don't know if I should look forward to getting the 18" wheels/tires, at least I was wise enough to get the tire hazard warranty.
