Approximately how long after your car goes into production can you expect to get your car in U.S.? I thought I heard about 2 weeks?
I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times before, but I'm new to the site, so if someone could point me to the appropriate thread that would be helpful.

A "rough" estimate is 1 week for production, 2 weeks for shipping to the east coast, couple days in VPC, and a couple days to truck to your dealer. So all in all from the start of production you're looking at a minimum of 4 weeks or so if everything goes right.
There are a few sticky posts at the top here that will help you out also:

"aftp302" has about the correct estimate. Usually after you place an order, it takes roughly 6 weeks for it to be delivered at the dealership. The biggest wait time is after it is built however...
The car then has to wait for the boat to get shipped on, this process itself can take 1-2 weeks (juss waiting). Then once it arrives, it has to pass some customs bureaucrat and with all the red taping there could take another week in NJ at VPC. Then once its on the truck for delivery, that takes like a day.

When your car goes into production depends on when your particular Center has an allocation slot for the car to be built. In your case that's week 15.

I ordered Feb 23rd. Today would be Two weeks and two days. I am really hoping that it is on a ship this week. The longest wait in this process for me has been waiting for the car to get on the ship. It has been in the "produced not shipped/awaiting transport at port of exit" stage for over a week. (Which is expected) I am not holding my breath though, becuase I bet there are HUNDREDS of cars before me! I am hoping it is at the dealer in early April.

I ordered my car in mid January, production date was the 25th, the car arrived at the dealership March 5, I got it March 6. It got hung-up in Charleston's VPC backup for an extra week.
It can vary depending on how long it has to wait for a truck to the docks, then a ship, then another truck to the VPC and then another truck to the dealership.
It's worth the wait though, to get exactly what you want! :D
